Operated by the GLBT National Help Center, this hotline offers peer-support to callers who are often very isolated sometimes still closeted, and in need of a caring, non-judgmental person to talk with. The folks on the hotline don't give advice, instead they listen and they care!

If you can donate 2 1/2 hours of time, at the same time each week, for at least six months, we can use your help.

Volunteers also answer factual questions regarding safer-sex information and give out local resource information from the largest LGBT resource database in the country!
The SAGE LGBT Elder Hotline is operated by the GLBT National Help Center. Potential new volunteers located in the San Francisco area can train in our downtown offices. If you live anywhere else, you can still train and volunteer if you have a computer, internet access and a quiet, private space.
Our training consists of a two-month program, consisting of online study, a training class and then a weekly one-on-one Buddy Shift for six weeks.
