SAGE serves LGBT older adults at five SAGE Centers throughout New York City. Here are the faces of our SAGE Centers.

SAGE Centers are centers for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older people age 60+ in New York City—the first centers of their kind in the country. Founded in 2012 as part of New York City's Innovative Senior Center initiative and expanded citywide in 2014, SAGE's Senior Center program provides a comprehensive array of unique services and programs related to arts and culture, fitness, food and nutrition, health and wellness, and lifelong education for LGBT elders. Most sites include a meal program.

SAGE Centers have other opportunities for volunteer work. For more information, visit our volunteer page, or contact Bertis Shankle-Reyes, Manager of Volunteers and Outreach, at bshankle-reyes@sageusa.org .

SAGE Centers are generously funded in part by the Department for the Aging (DFTA), The Hearst Foundation, Walmart and the M·A·C AIDS Fund.

Please note that new sites are opening soon, so be sure to come back for more information.
