Webinar: Advocating for Age-Inclusive HIV Testing Guidelines and Sexual Health for Older Adults

In observance of World AIDS Day, this collaborative webinar presented by ANAC and SAGE strives to empower people to champion age-inclusive HIV testing and bolster sexual health initiatives for older adults. The session will comprehensively evaluate the current CDC HIV testing guidelines, illuminating the constraints of age-based restrictions, and emphasizing the imperative to remove the current upper age limit. Attendees will gain insights into the detrimental effects of delayed HIV detection among older adults, highlighting the necessity for campaigns tailored to enhance their sexual health. Lastly, presenters will offer practical guidance and advocacy strategies, enabling participants to proactively influence policy and prioritize healthcare accessibility for older adults, fostering a more inclusive and equitable approach to HIV prevention and sexual health.

Reunion Project’s “Remembering our Resilience, Committing to Joy”

The Reunion Project, the national alliance on HIV long-term survival, will be hosting a National Virtual Town Hall Meeting. The program theme is “Remembering our Resilience, Committing to Joy.” SAGE’s Terri Wilder, HIV/Aging Policy Advocate, will present on HIV/Aging policy updates. The Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Allison Agwu of Johns Hopkins, and panels will include Lifetime Survivors with “Ready, Set, Live” and Guys Like Us with “Trans Masculinity & Aging.”
