When you tell SAGE about a future gift—and tell us what that gift is currently worth—SAGE will receive a current cash contribution.
The Edie Windsor Challenge Fund is the power behind SAGE’s Legacy Match Campaign. Edie loved SAGE, contributing generously and serving two terms on our Board of Directors. Edie’s surviving spouse, Judith Kasen-Windsor, is continuing Edie’s commitment and leadership by establishing this fund, which is also funded through a generous contribution from an anonymous donor.
Participate in the challenge by filling out a Bequest Intention form.
The information you share:
- Lets us know that a legacy gift to SAGE is part of your estate planning
- Describes the kind of gift (for example, making SAGE a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or retirement plan)
- Details the estimated current value of that gift
- Is not a binding contract—it can be changed at any time, including adding provisions for a spouse, partner, sibling, or a member of your birth or chosen family

Once you complete the form—you can fill it out online or download it and mail it back—SAGE will receive a current cash contribution of $1 for every $10 of the present value of your future gift. For example, a share of a retirement account worth $60,000 would yield a current contribution to SAGE of $6,000.
Even if you’ve already included SAGE in your legacy plans, let us know the present value of your future gift and this, too, will be matched.
