Jeff Englar is a seasoned leader with 34 years of operations and risk experience in financial services. Jeff has a genuine passion for SAGE’s mission, brings deep experience in governance and board service, and demonstrates leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout his career. He is based in Washington, DC and brings a helpful national and policy‑informed perspective. His background includes serving as a founding board member of Charlotte Pride and also the DC LGBTQ+ Community Center, where he served as Secretary, and nearly 30 years at Wells Fargo focused on governance, risk management, and compliance.  

Englar is currently Senior Vice President in Consumer Banking & Lending (CBL) at Wells Fargo. He serves as the leader of the CBL Chief Administrative Office’s Risk Transformation, Policy and Compliance Risk Programs team. He is responsible for risk transformation and implementation of strategic initiatives across CBL and the enterprise. Further, Englar proudly served as the leader of Well Fargo’s company-wide LGBTQ+ ERG for several years. Prior to Wells Fargo, he held other compliance and operations leadership positions at leading financial services companies, including Standard Federal Savings Bank (now part of Citi), Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae.

Englar earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. He looks forward to expanding his service and support for the LGBTQ+ community to a national level and ensuring our luminaries get the recognition they deserve.
