Social Isolation

LGBTQ+ older people are twice as likely to live alone and less likely to have access to affirming community spaces, especially outside major cities. That isolation takes a toll. 
Social connection is directly linked to better health, longer life, and stronger cognitive function. For those living with HIV, the risk of isolation is even higher. SAGE’s programs and resources help build connection, fight loneliness, and ensure that no one has to age alone.
