National Leadership Council: Leadership for the Future
SAGE’s National Leadership Council provides fundamental support for our evolving work with and on behalf of our community’s LGBTQ+ elders. These remarkable leaders hailing from all across the country exemplify SAGE’s values: taking care of our own, refusing to be invisible, and embodying loving, caring activists. SNLC members do this by dedicating their time, talents and funds to ensure all LGBTQ+ people have the resources to age with dignity.

Participation is dependent on meeting at least one of these requirements:
- A minimum contribution of $5,000 in the current or immediately preceding year
- Contributions to SAGE over the course of their lifetime of $100,000 or more

Learn More about the SAGE National Leadership Council
Members of the National Leadership Council:
- Provide leadership financial support to take care of our own and sustain SAGE’s work to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ elders
- Partner with SAGE staff and board to increase SAGE’s audience, reach and brand awareness: We Refuse to be Invisible!
- Volunteer their time to show up for our LGBTQ+ elder constituents as loving, caring activists
Members receive:
- Listing and acknowledgment of giving at the SNLC level
- Regular insider communications and updates including an annual impact report
- Invitations to attend, and join the Host Committees for SAGE’s regional signature events (e.g. in New York City, Fire Island Pines, South Florida, and Palm Springs)
- Dedicated SNLC volunteer opportunities ranging from marching with SAGE during Pride, helping with fundraising events, writing letters to our elder constituents, and providing meals and social connection to our LGBTQ+ older adults where we have in-person direct service locations (in New York and South Florida)
