Suley Cruz is an Afro-Latina mother of two from the Bronx. She has been working in the field of Aging for nearly nine years. Beginning as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Senior Services Division at Union Settlement Association successfully managing volunteers at all four of their Senior Centers as well as the Friendly Visiting, Senior Companion, Easter Seals, and WEP programs. Currently, she directs SAGE Center Harlem/SAGE Harlem NORC. SAGE is the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older people. As the Site Manager Suley ensures the center is an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming space for older adults across NYC. Suley holds a Masters in Health Administration with a concentration in Gerontology from the University of Phoenix and a B.A. in Psychology from Hunter College. She is committed to a career in Aging services ensuring services are inclusive and culturally competent for all older adults.
