Former SAGE Board Co-Chair David W. Canter Named Fundraiser of the Year by Macquarie Foundation
[New York, NY] SAGE (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders) is pleased to announce that David W. Canter, former SAGE Board Co-Chair, has been named the recipient of the 2014 Macquarie Foundation Fundraiser of the Year Award. Currently, Canter serves as Global Head of Operational Risk for Sales and Trading and the related support areas for the Macquarie Group.
In 2007, Canter joined the board of SAGE, the United States’ largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender older people. He was elected to serve as co-chair in both 2012 and 2013. During his tenure, Canter raised significant funds and secured critical in-kind consulting work for SAGE, valued at over $600,000.
Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults.
