Zoraida Ramos

SAGE Center Harlem Program Coordinator

Zoraida Ramos is the SAGE Center Harlem Program Coordinator at SAGE, the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. The SAGE Center Harlem site provides services, information, referrals, programming, educational presentations and social activities in a safe space for older LGBT residents of Harlem.

Prior to her work at SAGE Center Harlem, Zoraida was the NYC Site Coordinator for the SAGEWorks program, a work readiness program for LGBT older adults over the age of 40. In her role, she coordinated all employment workshops/events, facilitated employment counseling/job searching assistance to all participants and provided administrative support to the Program Manager.

Without a doubt, Zoraida is no stranger to SAGE. Previous to her role at SAGEWorks, she started her career within SAGE as the Program Assistant at SAGE Center Harlem in 2011. At SAGE Center Harlem, Zoraida assisted with the coordination of programming, social events and activities and administered the program's administrative duties.

From 2009 to early 2011, Zoraida worked as the Data Consultant/Administrative Support staff at Arbor Education and Training in Staten Island, a back-to-work program for individuals receiving public assistance. At Arbor, she administered the daily timekeeping system, which tracked the attendance of all participants, provided employment leads and resume assistance. Zoraida is a Lincoln University alumni who concentrated in the Human Services field.
