Kara Sprague

Assistant Director of Program Development & Evaluation

Kara Sprague, Assistant Director of Program Development & Evaluation, is a macro-practice social worker with a passion for effective, evidence-based programming. She has been involved in various facets of program work, from evaluation of programs in Haiti and New York City to direct practice with life skills and empowerment programs for domestic violence survivors and HIV-affected families.

Kara also managed projects related to Indigenous Peoples at the UN and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa conducting education and leadership programs. Kara is thrilled to be joining the SAGE family, having sought a way to combine her interest in programming with her passion for LGBT rights. She is particularly excited to be a part of SAGE’s ISC expansion.

Kara received her MSW from Fordham University and her BA in Sociology from American University. When not at work, Kara likes hiking, camping, trying to cook new vegan meals without following recipes accurately, traveling, and making lists.
