Advisory Council

Advisory Council Statement of Purpose

The council serves the SAGE Centers, the DFTA-funded (Department for the Aging) Innovative Senior Centers serving LGBT older adults throughout NYC. The council's exclusive purview is SAGE Center programs in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Harlem, Midtown Manhattan, and Staten Island. The purpose of the council is to provide input and feedback to staff about SAGE Center programs, services and procedures. The role of advisory council members is to speak with and represent the views of SAGE Center program participants, and work in cooperation with SAGE Center staff to effect positive change.

As of March 4, 2015, the standing councilmembers are:

  • Richard Sternberg

Upcoming Council meetings will be held on August 20th and November 19th, 2015 from 6:45-8pm at the SAGE Center in Midtown Manhattan.
