Judy Evans

Judy Evans is the Director of Marketing and Media Relations at Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE), the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. In this capacity, she oversees the communications, marketing, website, publications and advertising efforts of the organization. Since coming to SAGE, Judy has managed the development of marketing campaigns and online resources that are recognized among the best in the field, garnering a 2012 GLAAD Amplifier Award nomination and two awards from the International Academy of Visual Arts.
Prior to SAGE, Judy was the Director of Communications at American Foundation for the Blind (AFB), where she managed a cross-departmental team to create AFB Senior Site, AFB’s premier web initiative aimed at improving independent living for older adults with age-related vision loss. In addition, she led the development and marketing of AFB’s Helen Keller Gallery, a public exhibit of the world’s largest collection of Helen Keller artifacts. Judy has also worked at several national nonprofits that advance equality for women and girls, including the Ms. Foundation for Women, Girls Inc., and the American Association of University Women.
Judy holds an M.S. in library and information science from the Palmer School at Long Island University and a B.A. in French from the American University.
