Dawn Fischer

Dawn joined the SAGE Board of Directors in 2009. She is currently serving on the Nominating and Governance Committee and Women’s Committee.
Born in Shreveport Louisiana, Dawn was raised in Mustang, Oklahoma. She received her Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma Christian College while playing on a basketball scholarship. She later received an Associates Degree in Nursing in California then her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University.
Dawn started her nursing career as an HIV nurse in California, then moved into the ICU after receiving her BSN from NYU. She practiced as an ICU nurse at the NYU Medical Center, the Wellington Hospital in London and with the New York Organ Donor Network in their clinical division.
Dawn and her partner of 16 years, Stacey, were married in 2008 and now reside in Brooklyn, NY with their children Ethan and Vivian.
