David W. Canter, Esq.

David W. Canter, Co-Chair of SAGE’s Board of Directors, is an Associate Director with the Macquarie Group, where he is the Firm’s lead for Europe and the Americas on Operational Risk Management working in the Firm’s Risk Management Group.  Previously David was the Control lead for the DLCCG Organization within Deutsche Bank’s Global Business Services Division and the Regulatory lead for the Firm’s Global Exchange and Clearing Services organization and was an Executive Committee member of the Firm’s Rainbow Group.  In this capacity he was involved in budget management, visibility initiatives and event coordination.  In 2007 Deutsche Bank’s Rainbow Group was the first ERG to close the NYSE in celebration of gay pride month.  David has also been active in recruiting Deutsche Bank staff for AIDS WALK NY and was a star walker in 2007.  David has represented the Firm at Out and Equal in both 2006 and 2007. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, David was a member of OffCenter (2004-2005) at The Center, a member and an active member of his law school’s and undergraduate program’s GLBT groups. David has lived and studied in both Europe and Africa, and has traveled extensively.
